Organizational Structure

Currently, the leading body of BASICS is its Organizing Commitee (OC).

The OC is composed of representatives elected from each Correspondents Group (CG) of the organization.  Each CG consists of rank-and-file full BASICS members. Each CG is based out of a particular sector or area of work, or organizing around a specific issue or through a particular form of work.

Sometime in mid to late 2010, BASICS is planning to hold a General Assembly for its entire membership in order to fully consolidate itself as a people's organization, with a constitution and other founding documents.  Until this time, the OC will remain the leading body of the organization, in accordance with the Step-by-Step method of organizing.
